Sessions where we discuss difficult topics in a friendly environment with coffee, pastries and with the guidance of mental health professionals.
Mentoring
We support Kannapolis City Schools by helping to strengthen the relationship between schools and Latino families.
Cultural competency workshops and programs such as "Se Vale Soñar" , a monthly role model program to empower children with presentations by Latino role models, group therapies and activities for parents.
Education
Latino children don't get the support they need with school assignments because their parents have time constraints and language and educational barriers to understanding homework.
ESL Tutoring and Classes
We offer a tutoring program for Latino K-7 students to improve their reading and math skills by helping reinforce what they learned in school, teaching social skills, and fostering citizenship.

Civic Engagement
Background
Latinos come to this country looking for a better future for their children. They work long hours to provide for their families and always have a piece of their hearts in their home countries.
For them, adapting to a new life in this country is sometimes difficult. They face a new language, a new culture, and a new system of government since the laws in their countries are different from those in the United States.
The program
Through our civic engagement workshops, Hispanic families have the opportunity to learn about local laws and government and understand that just as we all have rights, we all have obligations as well.

We teach them that voting is a civic duty and that getting involved in community affairs is a civic duty.
