About us

El Puente Hispano was founded in 2017 by a group of passionate local Latino professionals. Their goal was to address the unique challenges and hardships faced by the Latino community in Cabarrus County.

Today, we are proud to have positively impacted the lives of over 1,000 families in Cabarrus. We truly believe that by providing empathy, care, and education to the Latino community, we can help uplift and empower families to achieve their fullest potential.

Social services

We provide educational sessions to promote healthier lifestyles and also mental health well-being and awareness.
We conduct programs that bridge the communication gap between the Latino population and local governments, businesses, and other agencies.
We develop programs that promote equity, including organizing the Concord International Festival.

Education

We offer a tutoring program for Latino K-5 students to improve their reading and math skills by helping reinforce what they learned in school, teaching social skills, and fostering citizenship.
We also provide English, parenting, and civic engagement classes for adults

Civic Engagement

Through our civic engagement workshops, Hispanic families have the opportunity to learn about local laws and government and understand that just as we all have rights, we all have obligations as well.
These workshops help families to get better integrated into the community.
